1793 Br.4. C.4 (R-3). A strict Very Fine-20 with respect to wear. Liberty's hair ribbon is fully defined, as are all of the legends. The wreath, likewise, is particularly bold. As is normally the case, however, there is some degree of roughness and microporosity beneath a medium brown patina on either side. An obverse rim bruise is also noted at 11:30. This rare and highly important first year of the denomination is always at or near the top of any serious type collector's list of ''must have'' coins.
