1901 Calgary Assembly Medal. Bronze, 64.6mm. 1,486.7 grains. Type of Jam.39. Very Fine. Light brown in color. Some stray marks, traces of verdigris. Obverse: busts left of the Duke & Duchess of Cornwall and York. Reverse: Arms. Silver medals of this type were presented to the head chiefs of tribes gathered in Calgary, Alberta in the autumn of 1901. Over 2,000 indigenes were in attendance. The medals were made by Ellis & Company of Toronto.
