1787 Connecticut Copper. Miller 44-W.4 (R-4). Draped Bust Left. 158.3 grains. About Very Fine. Painted Die Variety in the left obverse field. Burgundy brown with green deposits on the obverse, the reverse is dark brown with the devices highlighted in lighter brown. Here is a neatly pedigreed specimen of this variety.
