 1879 Very Choice Brilliant Proof. Bright and nearly white on the obverse, toned in pale yellow gold on the back. Both the obverse and reverse fields are bright and deeply mirror-like. A Proof-only issue of a mere 1,541 pieces, and a very well preserved specimen.
