''1650'' Pine Tree Shilling. Noe B, Crosby p.63, fig. 21. Essentially as made. 76.9 gns. The Noe Plate Coin. Nice, medium coin silver gray in color. Dig in the right obverse field, die swellings in center of reverse. Unique. Dated two years before the coinage was authorized. This was not in the Mickley or Parmelee sales but was part of the Getchell-Brown 1854 deal. The piece is better made than the preceding and perhaps was meant to be the companion small planchet piece to the former's large planchet style.
