 1866 Gem Brilliant Proof, or virtually so. Glassy reflectivity and a bold strike are both immersed in rich iridescent shades of emerald, rose-gold, and mauve-green. There is a single small obverse spot in the left field. The reverse boasts the wonderful color and appeal of a full Gem. A total of 725 Proofs were coined of this first year With Motto type coin.
