1997 $50.00. One Ounce Gold American Eagle. Struck Partially Out of Collar. Gem Brilliant Uncirculated. Although it is hard to tell for certain through this coin's encapsulation or from PCGS' description, but we believe that this coin was struck partially out of collar, resulting in a high flange of extruded gold metal from around 10:00 to 2:00 on the obverse. Such errors are common on the circulating denominations but very rare on these gold bullion coins. PCGS MS68 35% Wire Rim Obverse.

Lot # 2627 Session 2
Hammer Price: $750.00
