1838 Brilliant Uncirculated. A desirable coin for the strong lustre and eye appeal. The surfaces show minor handling marks expected for the grade, but Liberty's face and the fields are much nicer than normally encountered and lack distracting bagmarks. A sharply struck coin with well rounded curls on Liberty, and the eagle's feathers and claws are clearly defined although slight softness is found on the leading edge of the wings. A thoroughly satisfying coin for the grade. NGC MS61.
