1909 V.D.B. Gem Brilliant Uncirculated. This bright red coin is truly spectacular to behold. The lustre and strike are so amazing that our consignor believed the coin to be a Proof example. Without checking for specific die characteristics this coin certainly appears to be a Proof; the satiny lustre is certainly reminiscent of a Matte Proof. This beautiful little jewel would be difficult to improve upon.
