 1886 Gem Brilliant Proof. As is present on all Proofs of this issue, there is noticeable repunching at the '188' of the date. Here is a wonderfully smooth, forceful Proof that exhibits a lovely shade of golden toning on either side. The devices are deeply frosted and the fields glitter with full mirror brilliance. A net Proof mintage of 886 pieces (equal to the number of sets sold) is reported for this date.
