1798 B.12 (R-4). Pointed 9. Extremely Fine. Here is a coin that appears wildly off-center, as the entire length of some denticles is seen at right obverse, whereas the denticles are all but missing on the left. The coin is actually spread to a wild 40.1mm along its horizontal axis. Surfaces are a charming silver-gray in tone, and a gentle undulation in the light reveals some hairlines on both sides. Lustre flow lines at the peripheries are toned in russet-gold on both sides of this awesome-looking early Dollar.
