Colony of New York. April 15, 1758. 10 Pounds. No.9521[?]. Three signatures: Livingston. Clarkson and Van Horn. Printed on coarse, single stock paper (see Ford III catalogue, page 137). Fine or so. Vertical split, backed with paper strip. Petty thins. From the face, a sharp looking note with well accomplished signatures. Above average for the type.

Notes from the prior series were printed on a two part stock. The backing was thick cardboard with the printed face on thin paper glued to it. This two part stock tended to peel with use and was replaced by this coarse stock on this issue.

Lot # 889 Session 1
Hammer Price: $100.00
