 1855 N.4. Upright 5s. Mint State-65. Red and wonderfully well matched to the amazing Gem 1853 Cent in this sale. This jewel shows blazing mint red throughout, with no spots or specks that warrant special mention. There are some traces of carbon, but far less than usually encountered. Sharply struck in virtually every respect, although three stars are slightly weak at their centers. Obviously, this coin was set aside at the time of issue and very carefully preserved!
