1828 Br.2, C.3. 18 28, High leaf beyond S. Mint State-65. Red. One of the finer examples that undoubtedly came from the hoard reportedly handled by Benjamin H. Collins in the 1890's. Fiery bright red throughout save for a very tiny speck above Liberty's ribbon end in the right field. Most examples are spotted or mottled, but the present coin is a delightful exception and represents an opportunity for the astute numismatist to purchase an exceptional coin!
