 1807 O.111a (R-5). Top of B unfinished, left base of '1' missing. 50 over 20. Choice Extremely Fine. Struck from the rare die state featuring die crack on the obverse, including the infamous crack from beard to chin that developes into the ''Bearded Goddess'' variety (O.111b). Substantial lustre clings to the protected areas, teal toning surrounds the stars and a pleasing gray patina occupies the central devices. The reverse is splashed with gray and a pale russet with few circulation marks and a wisp of wear. Here is undoubtedly one of the most appealing specimens of this coveted die variety.
