1871'CC' Choice About Uncirculated and a truly exceptional coin for this issue. Deep yellow-golden fields and design features enjoy bold definition as well as plenty of underlying mint lustre. In fact, the devices still retain traces of semi-reflectivity. Sharp, wholesome, and wonderfully compelling in every respect. This Carson City date is both rare and important regardless of the grade. With there being, in all likelihood, no more than two fully Mint State survivors and a very limited number of near Mint State pieces, it is indeed very possible that the presently offered specimen is within the condition census! One of only 20,770 minted, from which only a pitifully small number are still extant.
