 1804 JR-1. 13 Star Reverse. (R-5). Choice Very Fine. The 1804 Dime of either 13 or 14 star variety is rarely offered in any condition, much less in such a pleasing middle circulated grade. Obverse devices and fields are awash in electric blue at the center, with gold and lilac tones at the peripheres. A ring of peach and electric blue toning frames a light gray and rather attractive center. Surfaces display the usual light marks often seen on these early Dimes, and none of these detract from this specimen's overall very high appeal.
