1802 JR-4 (R-4). Fine. Here is a specimen of the remarkable late die state variant featuring a huge die break at 'LIB' of LIBERTY that is elevated from the surface of the coin but that has not yet fallen out of the die, forming a full ''cud.'' As with many of the other early Dimes in this collection, the obverse is gorgeously toned in varying rainbow hues on the obverse, while the reverse is silver-gray with a hint of coloration at the rims. A small divot out of the rim is noted at 2:00 on the reverse.
