Obverse is awash in variegated rose, yellow-gold and blue toning, while the reverse is brighter silver gray in tone and ringed in peach-gold and blue at the rims. The JR-2 variety is much more frequently offered than the JR-1, and the present specimen is about as attractive as one might find for this early Dime issue.
