 1870 Gem Brilliant Proof. A lovely cameo Gem with great eye appeal. Both sides are bright in the centers with frosty details and a strong strike. The obverse is beautifully toned on the rim in deep iridescent blue and gold. The reverse is largely untoned. The fields show deep mirrors with full flash and great brilliance. Only 1,000 Proofs were struck.
