 1868 Very Choice Brilliant Proof, there being only trivial microscopic specks visible with a glass. As is sometimes seen on Proofs of this issue, there is recutting evident on all of the digits in the date. Assertive legends and devices are bathed in liquid reflectivity. With the exception of an area of subtle tan toning at the right obverse, the surfaces are toned a pleasing pale lilac.
