 1874 Gem Brilliant Proof. One of only 700 Proofs struck. The obverse and reverse fields on this piece are bright, reflective deep mirrors with attractive watery brilliance. The rims are lightly toned in a medium steel and russet shade. The central devices are frosty and pleasing. Liberty's left breast and hand and the eagle's left leg are both flatly struck.
