 1¢ 1901 Superb Gem Brilliant Proof. The obverse of this highly impressive coin offers full orange-red radiance framed by golden iridescence at most of the periphery. The reverse has acquired an utterly mesmerizing blush of balanced rose-red toning. Only a minuscule percentage of the Proof survivors of this issue could even begin to compete with the presently offered coin when it comes to both technical quality and sheer eye appeal! A total of 1,985 Proof Cents of this date were coined.
