 10¢ 1897 Very Choice Brilliant Proof. There is a pair of well concealed obverse hairlines beneath the toning on Liberty's cheek, otherwise this majestic piece would easily warrant a strong Gem designation. The obverse exhibits rich shades of lavender, lilac, and rose iridescence. Splashes of champagne toning heighten a glittering reverse. The four silver denominations of this date all enjoy a Proof mintage of only 731 pieces.
