MCMVII (1907) Roman Numerals. High Relief. Wire Rim. Brilliant Uncirculated, nearly Choice. A third. The pronounced, high rim on this specimen exhibits a knife-like quality and is especially high in the 10:00 to 4:00 positions on the obverse. Rich, wheat gold lustre exhibits the swirling die polish lines characteristic of most of the mintage of this majestic Augustus St. Gaudens designed work of art. A few minor surface and rim tics are all that come between this splendid coin and a much higher grade.
