Slavery Document. Manuscript document, four pages folded form. August 20, 1835. 11.75'' by 7.5''. Penned in a very bold hand. A powerful document regarding a slave auction sale of a ''Negro girl named Hannah about 12 years old..by giving notice stuck upon the courthouse door in the publick square of Moulton, sell said negroe girl at Publick Auction to the highest bidder....'' The purpose of the sale was to pay off the owner's debts. Natural paper aging, otherwise Very Fine. A choice document. 2 pieces.

Also included with the lot is a die proof vignette of Winfield Scott by the BEP, lightly foxed.
