Colony of New York. April 20, 1756. Five Pounds. No.4309. Signed by John Cruger, Wm. P. Smith and John V.(an) der Spiegal. Printed on much thicker, coarse paper. Uniface with dark back, printed in black by James Parker. New York Arms to the right, columns with top frieze and denomination inside seal. Anti-raising device of one pound weight with ''V'' top center. A second example. Fine, a hard crease as usual with a split and rounding at the top center. Trimmed in slightly with corner rounds, but above average grade for this series.
