Colony of New York. April 20, 1756. Five Pounds. No.5629. Signed by Rob.(ert) R. Livingston, John...Colony of New York. April 20, 1756. Five Pounds. No.5629. Signed by Rob.(ert) R. Livingston, John V.(an) der Spiegal, and Wm. P. Smith. Printed on much thicker, coarse paper. Uniface with dark back, printed in black by James Parker. New York Arms to the right, columns with top frieze and denomination inside seal. Anti-raising device of one pound weight with ''V'' top center. Very Fine with a crease. Lightly soiled, but a mostly clean looking example from the face. The borders are trimmed in slightly and minor rounding of the corners. A superior grade note which Newman does not price above very good in his catalogue.
