Colony of New York. May 12, 1755. Ten Pounds. No.3095. Signed by J.(ames) DePeyster, David Clarkson, and Ab.(raham) Lynsen. Printed on much thicker, coarse paper. Uniface with dark back, printed in black by James Parker. New York Arms to the left side, border cuts at top and right with denomination inside seal. Anti-raising device of two pound weights with ''V'' top center. A rare series for any note, but this denomination is extremely rare! There were only 200 notes authorized of this denomination and the survival rate for any example should be very low. Fine to Very Fine, a vertical crease and clipped in all the way around in an even fashion. Several pinholes, a petty split and an ink spot between ''N'' and ''P'' in the center. Penned numeral on the back.
Ex T. James Clarke Collection.
