Colony of Connecticut. October 10, 1771. Twenty Shillings. No.461. Signed by William Pitkin, Benj.(amin) Payne and Elisha Williams, the signatures are ''X'' cancelled in black ink. Imprint of 'New-London; Printed by Timothy Green, 1771'. Very Fine, solid with no splits whatsoever as characteristic of this paper type. However, the good news ends there as there is a stain on the face which shows through to the back and there are scattered pinholes. There is a dark back mounting mark in the center with glue in the center. There is a back pen endorsement at the bottom.
Ex T. James Clarke Collection.
