Colony of Connecticut. May 10, 1770. Twenty Shillings. No.1003. Signed by Wm. Pitkin, Benj.(amin)...Colony of Connecticut. May 10, 1770. Twenty Shillings. No.1003. Signed by Wm. Pitkin, Benj.(amin) Payne and George Wyllys. Assembly at Hartford. Imprint similar to March 8, 1764, 'New-London, Printed by Timothy Green 1770'. Like the 10 Shillings of this issue, a rare note in high grade. Very Fine plus, with a slit cancel from the bottom sealed with archival tape. The face is sharply printed and well margined. The back has the four corners with some foxing from an old mounting.
