Current Money of Virginia. Act of Assembly passed October 12, 1758. One Shilling (Twenty Pence). No.19138. Signed by Edm.(und) Pendleton. Printed on fairly sturdy, but thin laid paper. 93mm by 62mm. Uniface, printed in black from different cast cuts than previous issues by William Hunter. Ornamental cuts on each side, at the upper left are the Arms with motto EN DAT VIRGINIA QUARTAM (Behold Virginia contributes one quarter of the Arms). The date '1758' in the right border cut. This is another rare and early issue date. Though vertically split and patched with a strip from the verso, the note is a bright Very Fine or better. There are a couple of small edge splits, but the note is essentially all there. A miracle of survival in this state. The last note from this Act date available from the Ford-Boyd Collection.
