A Contemporary Counterfeit and so endorsed on the face as ''Forged''. ''Signed'' by Peyton Randolph and Ro.(bert) C.(arter) Nicholas. Printed on thin laid paper. 70mm by 60mm. Uniface, printed in black copying the plates by William Hunter. Ornamental borders with cast cut at the upper left with seal. Motto EN DAT VIRGINIA QUARTAM (Behold Virginia contributes one quarter of the Arms). Below the seal '£ III'. A rare counterfeit and very choice. Very Fine. A small split at the top and a toning spot on the bottom border. Superior margins and excellent eye appeal.
