NEW YORK. NEW YORK CITY. Park Theatre, 1817. Rulau-E NY 41A (R-4). Copper, 19.5mm. Choice Extremely Fine. Narrow borders, line-dot ovals inscribed PAID, 1817. Smooth brown, a few tiny tics are found.

The Park Theatre opened January 1798, and is identified with the rare Theatre at New York Penny. These admission tokens were introduced in September 1817 to foil ushers' embezzling.
