Obtained from Jean Paul Vannier, Bordeaux with Paul Davis acting as agent.
There were many different notes produced in this brief span. Due to the engraving of copper plates by hand and subsequent wear of the plates, minor layout varieties exist as to exact location of signatures and wording. This initial issue had written signatures, following title designations. On Type I the signatures of Fennellon and Duvarest are placed after ''Vu et Controlle'' (exists, but rare). On Type II, ''Vu'' is replaced by handwritten ''pour le S Fennellon'' [for Mr. Fennellon]. Also, there are handwritten designations prior to the other two signatures. On Type III, the previously handwritten designations prior to the signatures are now engraved and printed.
