Province of Pennsylvania. May 20, 1758. Fifteen Shillings. No.4969. Plate A. Signed by Jo.(seph) Wharton Jr., Tho.(mas) Moore, and Tho.(mas) Carpenter. Printed on thick paper, standard size and designs. The back is not inverted like the prior two series. Printed face and back, in black, by B.(enjamin) Franklin and David Hall, their imprint on the back. The printing quality, face and back, is a bit on the light side. However, this is typical of the many notes since the print figure was 38,000. Do not let the high print run fool you, most known today are merely good condition or so. This is another exceptional grade Franklin note, certainly close to if not in any condition census one would want to compile on such notes. Extremely Fine plus, horizontal fold. Some minor rubbing on the corners and traces of back mounting marks.
