Government of the Counties of New Castle, Kent and Sussex upon Delaware. June 1, 1759. Ten Shillings. No.25936. Signed by Wm. Armstrong, David Hall, and John Barns. Printed on thick paper by B.(enjamin) Franklin and D.(avid) Hall, their imprint on the back. Seal and motto as earlier series. Two crowns security device. Elephant, between squirrel and heron, at the bottom (location changed from the previous issue). A very high grade example. About Extremely Fine. The horizontal is folded, but not broken; the paper is extremely crisp. The crease shows some wear from the back on this well printed note. Trimmed tightly on three sides. These minor flaws do not take away from the great eye appeal. Worth a healthy multiple of Newman's $400 catalogue value in Fine. One of the finer Delaware Franklin notes we have seen.
