North Carolina Currency. April 2, 1776 Halifax Issue. One Fourth of a Dollar. Sea Urchin Vignette....North Carolina Currency. April 2, 1776 Halifax Issue. One Fourth of a Dollar. Sea Urchin Vignette. No.5121. Signed by Sumner and Williams. Printed on thicker laid paper. Small format size. Three border cuts. This note is printed on thicker stock than used on most of the lower denomination, small format notes. The vignette is certainly one of the more unusual on the series and is a tough type. Very Fine. Crease with a few light folds. Short split at the top and closely trimmed. A spot of ink on the 'u' of 'Currency'. Quite a tough note.

Ex F.C.C. Boyd Estate.
