Colony of New York. March 5, 1776. Five Dollars. No.1095. Signed by Abraham C. Lott and Jacob Abramse....Colony of New York. March 5, 1776. Five Dollars. No.1095. Signed by Abraham C. Lott and Jacob Abramse. Printed on thick stock. Ornate border cuts, New York Arms at the right. Back with vignette of 13 Branched Lit Candelabrum, motto UNO EODEMQUE IGNI. Imprint 'Printed by Samuel Loudon, in the Year M, DCC, LXXVI'. A lovely note that would be superb if better margined. Like the $2 and $3 notes on this issue, a much shorter print run of only 2,350 notes. Choice Crisp Uncirculated. Wonderful printing and paper quality. The margins are complete, but narrow. There are some very petty ''dings'' on the corners. Pencil code at back bottom right corner. In this superb grade, quite an important note.

Ex F.C.C. Boyd Estate.
