Colony of New York. March 5, 1776. Ten Dollars. No.224. Signed by Cornelius Ray and N. Roosevelt....Colony of New York. March 5, 1776. Ten Dollars. No.224. Signed by Cornelius Ray and N. Roosevelt. Printed on thick stock. Ornate border cuts, New York Arms at the right. Back with vignette of Elephant, motto PAR VIRIBUS VIRTUS. Imprint 'Printed by Samuel Loudon, in the Year M, DCC, LXXVI'. The $10 note on this issue also with a much lesser print run of 2,350 notes. Crisp and vibrant from the face. About Uncirculated. A lower left corner crease and edge handling. The back is centered down and partially off the paper at the lower left. There are two paper back hinge remnants.
