Georgia. 1776. Four Spanish Milled Dollars. No.1956. Light blue seal. Liberty Cap. LIBERTAS CARIOR...Georgia. 1776. Four Spanish Milled Dollars. No.1956. Light blue seal. Liberty Cap. LIBERTAS CARIOR AURO. Border variety (c). Signed by McGillivray, LaVien, Gibbons, O'Bryen and Ewen. Printed on laid paper. Fine to Very Fine. Still fairly crisp for the grade and bright from the face. There is back soiling and numerous folds. The grading services would count enough folds from the back to make this a ''Good'' or worse. However, that standard is harsh and not applicable to Colonial era paper money. Bright and clean on the face. The blue seal is bold, well struck and still very vivid and deep. The motto is readable. Fully margined except at the left where it is trimmed in slightly. Certainly a premium example of the technical grade.

William Gibbons was also a Continental Congressman and was the Acting Governor of Georgia in 1775.
