$100. F-1209. Gold Certificate. Series of 1882. Serial: H162177. VF. A rather attractive note with fairly clean paper and good color for the grade. The centering is as near-perfect as is typically expected for the type and thus the margins are broad and generally even. The edges are sharp and intact, without any splits or nicks of any kind. The only defects worthy of note are the tiny remnants of a former mounting, each confined to the top margin of the face and it is likely that they could easily be removed. Additionally, a couple of tiny pinholes are detected. A scarcer Friedberg number, and a new example to the census. An attractive opportunity for the specialist.
