1786 M.12-G. No Coulter (R-4). 136.1 grains. Very Good. Light brown surfaces exhibit mild to pronounced porosity all around. Despite the surface quality, the specimen at hand is actually quite presentable, especially for this very scarce and highly collectible No Coulter variety, so named for the absence of the coulter from the right top part of the plow. Date is weak but faintly visible. Coin is struck medal turn, and both obverse and reverse are slightly misaligned. Most varieties of the No Coulter are very rare to extremely rare, so the M.12-G presents itself to the type collector as the affordable alternative.
