1961 1787 Maris 6-D AB VF $400.00

(R-2). 146.7 grains. About Very Fine. Glossy chestnut brown surfaces are a bit darker on the devices and a bit ruddier in the protected areas. Struck from the usual states of the dies, this lovely specimen's only problems are a few minor rim bruises.
1962 1787 M.6-D SP $60.00

(R-2). A second. 133.7 grains. Fine or better. Dark, granular brown surfaces exhibit some very light red deposits in the fields. Despite the surface quality, this specimen has an even overall look that makes it a highly collectible specimen.
1963 1787 M.6-D F $100.00

(R-2). A third. 147.2 grains. Fine or better. Medium brown with golden-red areas. A large '15' in old ink is noted at central obverse.
1964 1786 M.12-G. No Coulter VG $500.00

(R-4). 136.1 grains. Very Good. Light brown surfaces exhibit mild to pronounced porosity all around. Despite the surface quality, the specimen at hand is actually quite presentable, especially for this very scarce and highly collectible No Coulter variety, so named for the absence of the coulter from the right top part of the plow. Date is weak but faintly visible. Coin is struck medal...  more
1965 1786 M.14-J. VF $55.00

150.2 grains. Very Fine or better. Grainy chestnut brown surfaces also exhibit the light tics, hits and scratches associated with circulation wear. A slight wave to the planchet is noted for completeness.
1966 1786 M.14-J. VF $45.00

A second. 141.9 grains. Very Fine. Light brown highlights the devices against ebony brown, uniformly very porous fields. Here is an acceptable specimen of this common Maris variety.
1967 1786 M.14-J. VG $50.00

135.5 grains. Very Good. Medium brown surfaces range from smooth to lightly granular.
1968 1786 M.15-U (R-5+) F $250.00

140.9 grains. Fine in overall detail. Horse head and shield are clear but surfaces are dark and very granular.
1969 1786 M.16-L. Protruding Tongue SP $110.00

131.9 grains. Fine. Glossy, dark brown surfaces define this evenly worn specimen that is perfect for a midgrade type or variety set of New Jersey coppers.
1970 1786 M.16-L. Protruding Tongue AB F $140.00

138.7 grains. About Fine. Wedge-shaped dentils are in clear evidence on this ever so slightly off-center specimen. Surfaces are hard yet a bit granular, the dark brown fields providing a frame for light brown devices.
1971 1786 M.16-L. Protruding Tongue VG $75.00

Very Good. Dark, porous, old hits; 1787 M.39-a. Fine. Very grainy; 1787 M.43-d. Very Good to Fine. Smooth, brown, wavy planchet, date worn away. 3 pieces.
1972 1786 M.17-b. PLUKIBUS. Small Planchet (see below) $70.00

151.7 grains. Hard, dark brown surfaces exhibit microscopic granularity on both obverse and reverse surfaces, while there are several areas of elevated verdigris, mostly in the obverse fields. Devices and legends, especially on the reverse, are essentially unaffected by the verdigris.
1973 1786 M.18-M. Bridle CH F $400.00

146.2 grains. Choice Fine. Smoothly worn, dark tan devices stand out against shoe polish brown fields on this attractive, very minorly granular specimen. A couple of minor edge bruises are noted for the sake of accuracy on this Rahway mint product.
1974 1786 M.18-M. Bridle F to VF $106.00

A second. 155.1 grains. Fine to Very Fine. Golden brown highlights the devices, while the uniformly granular fields are a deeper brown hue. A couple minor areas of verdigris should be noted on this overall well struck and not unappealing specimen.
1975 1786 M.21-N EF $428.00
1786 M.21-N (R-3). 154.7 grains. Extremely Fine. Hard and glossy, deep chocolate brown surfaces exhibit...
(R-3). 154.7 grains. Extremely Fine. Hard and glossy, deep chocolate brown surfaces exhibit light granularity that becomes more intense behind the horse's head. Both sides are a trifle off-center, giving a clear view of many of this variety's wedge-shaped denticles. Here is a wonderful specimen destined for variety collector's well-chosen set.
1976 1786 M.23-R. F $160.00

152.2 grains. Fine. Chestnut brown, lightly granular fields frame well-outlined, lighter brown devices on both sides. Date is a little indistinct, and examination with a glass reveals some ancient scratches weakening the date digits.
1977 1786 M.24-P. F to VF $150.00

154.6 grains. Fine-Very Fine. Hard, ebony brown surfaces exhibit light to medium graininess. Generally well centered with all details on the flan, this coin exhibits some softness of detail at the reverse centers from the graininess. Here is an acceptable specimen of the variety.
1978 1786 M.24-P. VG $100.00

A second. 158.4 grains. Very Good. Smooth light tan surfaces are hard and glossy and exhibit the usual light tics associated with advanced circulation wear. A mere ghost of a date is visible, and a small edge bruise is noted to the right of date.
1979 1787 M.28-L VG $100.00

(R-3). 157.0 grains. Very Good. Dark fields surround lighter devices with a few minor areas of verdigris. Centers suffered some hits long ago.
1980 1787 M.29-L VG $350.00

(R-4). 136.5 grains. Very Good. Deep coffee brown with lighter golden highlights toward the peripheries. Shield detail is strong for the grade, while the horse's head is weak due to the failure of this obverse die. Here is an acceptable, if slightly grainy specimen of this scarce New Jersey copper.
1981 1787 M.30-L VG $80.00

(R-3). 149.4 grains. Very Good. Medium brown surfaces range from perfect smoothness to heavy granularity.
1982 1787 M.31-L VG $100.00

142.4 grains. Very Good or finer in terms of wear. Surfaces exhibit planchet striae and roughness from possible burial in the ground. Legends and devices are all there, while the date is only a trifle weak.
1983 1787 M.32-T AB VF $110.00

(R-3). About Very Fine. 142.2 grains. Fields are a generally smooth, light chestnut hue with areas of minor, intermittent planchet roughness on both sides. Shield lines are essentially full, with just some weakness at the center. A few minor edge bruises and a single reverse verdigris spot are this coin's only detractors.
1984 1787 M.32-T F to VF $80.00

(R-3). A second. Fine to Very Fine. Hard, olive brown fields are only microscopically granular, while the devices are smooth and worn to a medium brown hue. Several hits are in evidence around the edge of the coin.
1985 1787 M.34-J. CH F $300.00

123.9 grains. Choice Fine, or better. Here is an intriguing specimen of a common New Jersey copper struck from the very advanced and failing state of the obverse die. A large die break obliterates all of the '8' and part of the first '7' of the date and the centers of the die are clearly sinking and failing. The reverse is soft, as is normal for the variety. However some shield lines...  more
1986 1787 M.37-f. Goiter F $110.00

(R-4). 136.5 grains. Fine, despite noticeable porosity over deep brown surfaces. Denticles are essentially full but are very weak to non-existent around a straight planchet clip noted around 12:30 on the obverse. The ''goiter'' and the corresponding die damage on the reverse shield are in clear evidence, and the failure of the reverse die has continued in the form of a die crack extending...  more
1987 1787 M.38-c VG $180.00

(R-4). Very Good. 152.9 grains. Dumpy, small flanned coin with dark brown surfaces, many circulation hits, and a planchet fissure across central obverse; 1787 M.39-a. 142.7 grains. Very Good. Light brown, with a few minor hairlines and edge bruises; 1787 M.43-d. 143.0 grains. Fine or better. Well-detailed, but planchet is heavily striated and porous. 3 pieces.
1988 1787 M.39-a VG $125.00

Fine. Minor planchet roughness, verdigris area by horse, rim bruise under date; 1787 M.52-i. Very Good. Dark brown, uniformly porous. 2 pieces.
1989 1787 M.45-d. (R-5) VG $300.00

141.5 grains. Very Good. Deep brown, granular with old damage at upper obverse rim.
1990 1787 M.48-f VG $100.00

(R-3). Very Good. 135.1 grains. Generally strong strike with a planchet clip at 3:00 and some planchet showing through at central reverse.
