UNITED STATES. CHILD & BRO., OTTAWA, ILL countermark on 1856 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. Brunk C-418. This firm was a well-known shoe-making concern. Gregory Brunk lists three U.S. Quarter and three Half Dollar dates bearing this countermark. Host coin Very Good.
