 1798 S.147 (R-5). Plain Edge. Fine-12. Medium brown devices are flanked by fields that are a trifle darker. The surfaces show a trace of microscopic granularity but appear quite smooth overall. The strike shows some weakness at the upper left obverse and the corresponding left reverse, but the other areas are quite bold. This coin is quite attractive for the grade and approaches Condition Census for this scarce variety.
