1797 S.134 (R-4). Very Fine-20. This interesting example shows various medium brown hues. The blank copper strip was misfed into the planchet cutter leaving a crescent shaped impression near 25% off center; an intriguing insight into the early days of the minting process. The surfaces are grainy and may have been lightly burnished long ago but are quite glossy and pleasant appearing.
