1793 S.10 (R-4). Wreath. Vine & Bars Edge. Fine-12 or better from the actual standpoint of wear. However, fields and devices exhibit a uniform, pebbly quality that is either the result of porosity or some attempt to enhance this coin's surfaces. What appears like a lamination has peeled back from the rim at 2:00 on the obverse and become a part of Miss Liberty's forehead. Date and sprig above date are strong, making this a fine specimen for this scarce Sheldon variety.
