 1787 New Jersey Copper. Maris 28-S (R-5). Rahway Mint. 141.2 gns. About Very Fine. Well-detailed and very attractive overall. Surfaces are striated and exhibit some granularity, with dark brown dominating amidst light ruddy brown at the high points. Legends are close to the rim near the date and at the upper left reverse. Here is one of the nicer survivors of this very scarce Maris variety.
