State of Rhode Island. February 24 [written], 1777. $8. No.737. Signed by Jos. Clarke. Issued to John Smith, with countersignature on the verso. A second note from this very rare and important Act. This is a wonder note as it is boldly printed and impressed. There is a very faint and short corner fold bordering on a bend. Choice About Uncirculated is unfair in a way, but all of that is academic as this is not only high on the Condition Census for the note, but for the entire series. The final bid price, difficult to conjecture in an exact manner, will be a function of the most resolute collectors' appreciation for this outstanding note.
